ATES Faculty of Polytechnic Library is “Student-Centric”, user-focused, innovative, and excellence driven. Institute Library manages knowledge, both in print and digital formats, and provides faculty, students, and staff with professional support to find, evaluate, manage, and use such resources. It provides high-quality ambiance for both reflective and collaborative work and study. Its collection of about 6000 items is used by more than 1026 members and others. The library extensively uses social media for improved communication and interaction. This is the reflection of library’s continuous engagement with its users as a valuable partner in their learning and research.

ATES Faculty of Polytechnic Library plays an important role in acquiring organizing and disseminating of information. It is situated at second floor having a carpet area of 400 sqm. The Library has a rich collection of Text Books, Reference Books and National Journals, Bound volumes in the fields of General Science, Diploma Engineering. Books are classified as per the Dewey decimal classification system (DDC 22nd Ed.). The Library provides automated services using ‘E-GRATHALAYA & Latest KOHA’ software application. All books are bar-coded resulting in fast circulation and searching of books.

Library Automation

The Library has fairly well-equipped computers and Network infrastructure to facilitate use of its computer and web-based services. The Library has its own sub-LAN, which in turn, connected to the campus LAN. Library uses E-GRANTHALAYA & KOHA Library software package which is integrated multi-user, multi-tasking library information software that supports all in-house operations of the library. The software extends the facilities like Catalogue, Circulation, Utility, Serial Control, and Acquisition. The database of books available in the library is being updated on day to day basis.
